Relay is Getting Closer
By adminThe Relay for Life is getting closer, here is the front and back of my Shirt, I think I’m going to do ok walking my distance so far this week I’m over 5 miles on the pedometer. My total donations are getting pretty close to my adjusted to reality goal so I guess that’s pretty successful.

7 days until the Relay for Life
By adminDays days until the walk - walking is going well but I still have not went over 1/2 mile at a time yet but I do about the same 1/2 mile almost everyday over the noon hour. Today I actually wore a Pedometer and measured my walking before lunch at almost 1 mile before my walk!! Could still use a few more donations there is another team that is stomping our rear in total donations. On the link above you can make a donation and or view the results of donations so far. Thank You!

By admin“What do you do when people think of you as a failure?”
The wonderful thing about the game of life is that winning and losing are only temporary, unless you quit. You are 100% responsible for your own actions.
It was Eleanor Roosevelt who said these words, “no one can make you feel inferior without your consent”.
The more you allow yourself to be thought of by other people as a failure, the more likely you are in the end to regard yourself as one. Do not let yourself be criticized, diminished, made fun of or “put down” by anyone near you, however much you may love him or her. In order to succeed you must first persuade yourself that you are a success, and in order to do that, you need the support and backing of other people’s belief in the possibility of success.
It is of course, possible to overcome other people’s view of you as a failure, and as we have seen, many great men and women have done just that. But it requires a lot of Will Power to succeed against everyone’s preconceived view of you as a natural failure. In most cases, their opinion (particularly if “they” are close to you) tends to become your opinion of yourself, and holds you back.
The road to success is a long one, and day-to-day judgments may be very deceptive. You have to be strong enough to believe in your own goal, whatever other people think of it. And to bear in mind that success lies in the final accomplishment of your hopes and dreams, and cannot be measured at any single point in a lifetime, but only at the end.
